Abnormal salt intake can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. But now it is known that many diseases can be avoided by reducing even one gram of salt in food.
The survey comes from China, where the average person eats 11 grams of salt per day, while the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends only 5 grams of salt per day. In this regard, if people who eat too much salt, reduce one gram of salt per day, from now till 2030, 9 million cases of stroke, blood pressure and heart diseases can be reduced.
It is further said that 4 million of these cases can be fatal and this simple recipe can avert these deaths as well. The research was jointly conducted by the Wolfson Institute of London, Queen Mary University and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Scientists have analyzed the data that if the Chinese population reduces only three decimal two grams of salt (30% amount), what will happen? Or if you reduce salt to 5% in the light of the World Health Organization, what benefits will you get?
Both of these conditions have many benefits and double reduce the risk of heart disease deaths. Experts have said that children have to be made aware of it in schools and universities and it is necessary to run this campaign for a year. Even now, 40% of deaths in China are caused by heart disease. Then, in the fast-paced urban life, eating processed and fast food has become a fashion.
This research has shown that eating just one gram of salt less per day can have many benefits and can prevent deaths.
